stalemate after king's move

Hey guys,

can someone explain me why this is stalemate, after my opponent's move? I thought stale mate is only possible after my move



i know i played this horribly in the end :D

You clicked the draw button. You can enable resignation confirmation under Preferences > Game Behavior > Confirm resignation and draws

They shortened it because it is already a draw even when white plays a move.

@ANTHONYW22 It's not. White just has to vacate b1. Good moves are usually to move the queen over to d2 which leaves the king with only a1 and b1. Then you can dad bod shuffle the king over to c3 where mate will always occur on b2.

77, 79, 81are same position

People need to be aware that threefold repetition doesnt have to be the same 3 positions on concurrent moves....it can appear at any time during the game (if you can actually remember that is)
