The fact is that the f-pawn can only be moved for very serious reasons. And it is especially dangerous to do this at the very beginning of the game, when you are playing black. By moving the f-pawn, you create a chronic weakness in your position, you have to constantly remember this, it's distracting. And at some point you will forget, and your opponent will take advantage of this weakness.
It is enough to analyze this position once, figure out which move was better, and you will no longer make this mistake.
One more tip.
If your opponent has a bad position, but you don’t see specific moves to realize your advantage, don’t rush, make moves that will improve your position. And your opponent may make moves that will make your task easier.
Do more puzzles. Learn to quickly find all the checks, all the captures, all the pins in any position.
Chess is a very simple game.
