Is it possible to beat the computer?

I've played so many local tournaments with 11/13 victories, I've only lost a few games on here and the analysis board rarely says I have any inaccuracies or mistakes, for some reason I can't beat the computer on level 8, is it possible? or just really hard?
It is very hard, but not entirely impossible. Opt for a closed position, e.g. the stonewall dutch defence. Or opt for simplification and go towards an endgame e.g. Ruy Lopez exchange.
Beating engines is always hard. I tried it for myself in 3+0 and got this strange game: lichess.org/lMh9gNEt/white#301

Why does the engine give up for no reason?
Unfortunately I had to use one takeback as 113.b4 surprised me.
I think it's programmed to give up after move 150, because it has to stop somewhere and 150 is reasonable for practical purposes.
Hence to beat Stockfish aim for a drawn position and hold the fort till move 151.
@Mollus I think comp could have won at around move 45-60 by putting his rook at a8, King at c7 or b6 Bc6 then playing b4 cxb4 axb4 Bxb4 Ba4 and exchanging the light squared bishop.followed by penetration by king and rook
if white doesnt exchange then Bishop goes to c2 and king at b3 then rook sac at a3 to get a winning ending
@ rohan

interesting but how does the black bishop land on c2 if i intend just to let you capture either c3or a3 and play bc1 afterwards? any rb3 can be taken the opposite color bishops engame is certainly a draw.
