Big claim; I have seen more chess positions than anyone on the planet.

Ok so I know what you're thinking - you've only played 100k games. Well if you add up my lichess, chess.com, chess24, multi acounts, live etc it's more like 1/4 million games.

So now you're thinking well German11 has played 1/2 million and if dig around there are some players on chess24 who have played 3/4 million now.

Except I play the ultra widest range of openings with the bizarre lines and often play wild moves for no reason just because it looks interesting. I end up in the most unique spots.

If you go on openingtree.com you can look up what openings your opponent plays and how much they deviate on different lines. (A useful tool if you need to prep against some in a club match). On that site I have the widest range of lines of anyone I can find.

Playing lots of games doesn't make me a good player, quite the opposite, because I have played a huge amount of games and not progressed very this makes me a very bad player.

As I semi retire from playing chess I wanted to make this claim before I completely burn out from playing chess and if you play enough one day you will burn out too.

Peace
The claim is easily refuted. Every player with half a million games saw more positions than you, even if you had a different position after 3 moves in every game. The reason is that even with a fixed repertoire one normally ends up playing a new game of chess from like the 10th move on (varying with rating). With an average game having much more than 20 moves, players with the double amount of your games easily saw more chess positions than you did, even if they had a fixed repertoire.

However, with your amount of games, you also saw a huge amount of positions. Which is crazy. It's hard to guess, but I'm quite sure I played much less than 1/4 million games in my life. I don't think it would make me a much stronger player alltogether, but I bet you have good intuition.
Sometimes I look 100's of moves deep and I see all the millions of positions in my head. Also, my screensaver cycles through random positions at 60 frames per second. I see them out the corner of my eye sometimes so I'll add them to my total. I exclusively play blindfold on lichess so I cant count those positions. I don't look at them in my head, I just use the force and mash at the touch screen. I am 1/16th retiring.
chess today is suffering from redundancy this is the real reason Mgnus refused to defend. I question the validity of a statement that there even are that many positions; this is also happening in music because the current scale has been taped out. This is why they have gone from 5min to 3 min and less; it is all the same after somuch repetition.

Maybe due to my poor english i can't fully understand what you mean with "redudancy" in chess. Also i'm a bit confused about this----> " the current scale has been taped out".
It's not a polemic\sarcastic\challenging post, i should really get what you mean :-)
