Simuls

Why only simuls of titled players are showed? If I don't invite someone, nobody join to my simul.

People want the chance to play somebody who is very very strong at chess like a titled llayer as it is very rare for some people to play titled players so they want this chance to do so

Why doesn’t lichess just put the titled players on the top of the list and still show everyone else under the titled players.

As far as I remember, all simuls used to be shown somewhere and this feature got just recently restricted to titled players.
I dont think it was a good change since now everybody who is advertising something in chats/forum is considered a spammer.
Sure, it bothers me as well but I try to understand that they have no other chance to invite players.

Consider: you dont have to have a title to be a good simul-player or coach and you can have a title and be absolutely horrible in both... There are so many players rated 2300+ who dont have a title.
Titles are hard to get; now, having pandemic, no otb, it gets even harder...

Please open an advertisement section on the discussion board!
Same goes not only for simuls, but also for private tournaments not showing, non-titled coaches, teams to join, follower-seekers!

Good idea, I have created new club now(just few minutes ago), and when we have more members it will be easy to have enough people to start simul :)

You either misunderstood what I mean or I have expressed myself not clearly enough.
I have never suggested YOU to create a team and advertise it here in the forum.
That is exactly what most folks here dont want to see.
I was suggesting in general that lichess finds a place where all those advertisements are welcome

the reason simuls where taken off the home page is because people were creating so many lichess was glitching. maybe a cap rating for simuls? 1800 or something?

#1 The Simul Requirements are to be 2400+ or a titled player. Otherwise, it would get too messy, and there would be way too many simuls by 1500s which would practically hide the simuls created by the titled players.

@Funkmaus #6 we have enough advertisement already, a whole forum section for them would be crazy. In the last week, I have gotten 150+ advertisements in messages to join a club or tournament. And that makes me miss the important messages, because they are hidden.
