Is a devious polyglot a cunning linguist?
English.
I speak spanish fairly well. Anyone from Texas has at least some understanding of Spanish. I can generally piece together Latin, French, Italian and Portuguese and understand the gist of what someone is saying because of word roots and similarity to Spanish and because I took Latin in college.
I've studied Japanese and Korean although I'm far from fluent.
Learning Esperanto just because.
I know a little Russian but those backwards R's still throw me off. Mostly just chess words anyway.
