KID expert needed (opening)

Hello community,

If anyone could explain or knows certain resources related to the King’s Indian Defense opening (for the white side) that would be great! I’m particularly interested in plans, move order, opening theory, move timings, basically anything related to this opening. Here is my game against SortedOut, where I overlook a simple threat. This opening is my preference when playing for the white side. I have provided my thought process in the study. Let me know where I can improve, thanks!

There are many books, DVDs, analysis and games on the King's Indian Defence. It is one of the heavily analysed openings. Particularily this Rio de Janeiro Variation has been heavily analysed since the 1950's. Resources are e.g. games by Bronstein, Tal, Fischer, Geller, Kasparov, Radjabov, Nakamura.
Actually you played 19 moves of theory. Despite you were out of book, you did a good job finding correct moves. After your think you played 20 Qb3 and you considered 20 h3, but the 2 main moves are 20 Qe1 and 20 Kh1. h3 is often not so good defence, as it only invites the sacrifice ...Bxh3 or ...Nxh3.
Here is an example

Your cxd6 has no great reputation and Nb5 or Qb3 are held in higher esteem. There are several finesses in move orders.
Thanks for the insights! Yes, h3 was only reserved for when the light squared bishop was as far away as possible from the board, that is - off the board :)
