Was told that by a guy who was very bad at chess when he blundered his queen and I took it.

"what is chess?"

"Wow, I always wanted to learn chess"

i have also heard players who know the bare rules of chess ask me my rating which is around 1500 and then they will say that their rating is somewhere in the 4000s.

@Ragnar25 Imagine their look when they start playing on lichess and their rating is like 800.

Me: takes there queen with my rook
Them: HeY yOu cAn'T dO tHaT
Me: uhh yes i can
Them: *proceeds to knock over chessboard and claim victory*
Me: >:( -_- ;-;

When you checkmate them, they say. '' HeY, DoN;t cHeAt.

Non chess player: "Can you teach me chess?"
Me: Do you mean the rules only, or also tactics and strategy?"
Non chess player: "tactics and strategy? I thought its just moving pieces and capture the king"
