Year of 2021

the variant WCs were my personal fav, horde wc zh wc were my favorites
I enjoyed all the lovely chats in the variant channels in the discord with the amazing people that make up the House community! Also, RKWC 21 was very fun to participate in and spectate and I can’t wait for this years edition! Hitting 7,000 flowers was pretty cool for the day or two I had it, I unfortunately gambled it all away the next few days...

Here’s to another great year with the House!
I believe I speak for many when I say this was my favourite (li)chess moment of the year, the KB ban.

In close second place come all the great moments I had during Bundesliga, trying to commentate on games, trash-talking much better players than myself, asking Stuben why he is down a pawn and all the very silly jokes made by me and other people in the House voice-chat.

> Another year is behind us. Let us review what shenanigans last year served for us in The House and the Variant Worlds:
>
> - Popularity of our lichess team exploded and the team tripled its numbers. As of today, our family has 3168 members in Discord and 5926 on lichess.
> - In Bundesliga, we continued where we left 2020 and won the 2021 Season! Back-to-back champions! The new season starts on Sunday, January 2nd, 2022.
> - @caspiwins became a Grandmaster, @littleplotkin achieved IM title. Both @gsvc and @MeneerMandje got a GM norm, now both of them have 2 norms
> - 2nd iteration of House Multi-Variant Championship (HMVC) was hosted by @Sinamon73 and @lecw. The Championship featured 83 variant enthusiasts, and the Final Four was won by @catask who emerged ahead of @VariantsOnly, @BughouseKnight and @Astavakra.
> - Various variant championships were organized: Atomic World Championship (AWC), Atomar World Championship, Racing Kings World Championship (RKWC), Horde World Championship (HWC), Hyper Horde World Championship (HHWC), and Crazyhouse World Championship (CWC) all finished during last year. Antichess World Championship (ACWC), Three-Check World Championship (TCWC), and Bughouse World Championship (BWC) are still going on.
> - Other numerous variant leagues and tournaments were played, such as Crazyhouse Team League, Atomic Chess League, Atomic 960 tournaments, and Lichess Antichess League.
> - A dozen of variant puzzle battles were hosted in #puzzle-battle by the community. Most active host was, once again, @RoyalManiac.
> - Variant engine development made huge improvements: Fairy-Stockfish was paired with NNUE technology, and the nets were made public for everyone. Fairy-SF rivals with Multi-Variant Stockfish and CrazyAra. The trio broadened the diversity of analysis. In addition, LiGround, a modern variant analysis GUI, improved and gained popularity.
> - www.pychess.org/ added new variants and 960 versions of familiar variants.
>
> Happy New Year and may 2022 be even better!

Hi Michael, I want to say that `Lichess Antichess League` didn't happen in 2021. Also, liantichess.herokuapp.com was made.
My favourite moment in 2021 was when liantichess was made.
