White's unexpected disaster in the opening

Who would have thought that in this situation, whites have only two wrong steps to a catastrophe? However it is. And I came up with a sacrifice when I took the pawn 10. ... fe!?
16.cxd4 seems like suicide to me, why did he do that?

In a bad position, all movements seem to be bad. S. Tarrash.
We must surrender on time!
White's probems began with 9 Bd2. The bishop belongs on e3. 10 h4 makes no sense either. 11 fxe5 is a mistake of course, but he already was in a bad position. Nice refutation by you.
