Trading places

To trade or not to trade, that is the question.
Some time ago I saw in a book store that GM Soltis wrote a book only about trading in chess.
In this exchange sac game a few times I had to consider trading pieces or not.

My thoughts :

Game for SF evaluations :
Your study is private i.e. cannot be accessed.
It is a well played game, where black wins out of the opening.
Alekhine's defence seems much stronger than its reputation.
Practically, it is - but not if White knows his stuff.

Ah, yes, thanks.
Recently I started to make the study invite only the moment I'm adding my thoughts and lines to not be distracted by visitors hopping on and off in the chat channel. Forgot to make it public again after finishing it. Fixed now. Cheers.

Indeed. In this game white didn't play the opening very well imho.
Also, there are a few lines in the Alekhine defense where black needs to be careful and precise. I'm currently playing it as black because I like to be able to play more than just one opening (Like e.g. GM Jan Timman decades ago already did. If you are playing at otb chessclub in a small pool, or in otb tourney it also makes sense to have variety handy), and testing whether I can "get away" with it against higher rated players without getting crushed in the opening as well.
Fischer played Alekhine's defence 7 times with black: 3 wins, 4 draws, 0 loss.
That reflects more on Fischer then on Alekhine's Defense @tpr
Here is an example: near perfect play from both sides, a draw.

And here is what Carlsen gets away with
