Opponent leaving 1 move before mate.

What do you think of people leaving when you're about to checkmate them? If they want to resign before because they know they are lost, ok, cool, now we can both start a new match. But, staying as long as possible, and then resigning when in my next turn is mate..? You could resign a bit earlier or at least let me do a checkmate, because, let's be honest, that always feels better than just "your opponent resigned". So, has this ever happened to you? What do you think about it?
i wish people would treat eachother how they want to be treated. We could all enjoy the game more that way. Timing out repeatedly is penalized by a temporary ban.

It happened, nothing special, if it was mate in 1-2 for me it is the same.

Funnier: once my opponent resigned thinking it was mate in two when actually wasn't.

So I just left Chess.com for the rampant cheating that is going on there. You are saying repeated game abandonment here can result in a temporary ban? That is really neat I wish they had on all sites.
At #1, what is it that you're complaining about?

"What do you think of people leaving when you're about to checkmate them?"

Leaving the game when they're about to be checkmated?

"But, staying as long as possible, and then resigning when in my next turn is mate..?"

Or resigning when they're about the be checkmated?

The second one is ok, the first one is not.
