Use correct parameters when searching for a game.

I'm getting tired of people aborting games when they start. There needs to be a reminder of sorts about search filters to match people with similar ratings to one another. Or just suffice to say I think people should really think about why they want to play chess? Is it to improve their game, to have fun or just to try and scrounge points off other players? It really is important to consider the wider implications when aborting a game. Such as the question: Does this action affect the quality of service of lichess.org/? Is it considerate of other peoples feelings and time management? Would I like someone to waste my time by aborting a game? I know there is a warning of a ban to aborters if they abort x amount of games. But currently when challenging someone and then aborting there isn't a warning. I would like some ideas on how to fix this.
Thanks hope to hear from you soon.
I was warned with a temporary ban for making challenges and then failing to start the game on time.
And this was by total random accident and I still got punished.

Also, each time someone triggers that ban, their timeout gets permanently longer and longer.
I figure it's as good of a system as any. It makes sense to me.

it happens to me by accident. I misclick and start a game i don't want to... i abort it as quickly as i can.
In the Android app, the Quick Pairing page is the homepage by default. And on a phone or tablet, you can't scroll to the Puzzle of the Day or forums except by touching the screen with your finger and sliding down from there. . . . I would wager it is very common for people to start games in this way, without intending to do so, and not to even notice this has happened. I know it happened to me once, on my previous account, on which I only ever (deliberately) played Stockfish. A mod was kind enough to delete some of those spurious games for me; cf. lichess.org/forum/lichess-feedback/game-aborted-4. (No reply in that thread, but the started-yet-unstarted games disappeared from my profile within an hour of posting.)

Hopefully, they will change the homepage in the app in the near future. And add sadsnake1's pieces. And fix correspondence games so that closing the app doesn't count as a "resignation." And implement a few other changes. . . .
