study invite link

Is it possible to give a link where anyone who clicks the link can contribute to the study?

So basically like in google drive. Where if you share a link, you can also make a link that people that open it can make adaptions(don't know the proper English term, since I have it in Dutch).

I don't know what you want to ask. But I can contribute in your studies if I click on it. Anyone can participate in your studies if you don't have it private.

What i don't understand is what a 'member' is. If anyone can modify it, what special privileges do 'members' have?

No, you can't only a member can. So I guess there should be a link then where you become automatically member, but I fear that isn't there for the moment

I had missed your post. But this is not true. For example try, my latest study to add something(which already will not work I think?), but for sure not add a new chapter

So based on our tests ( @tommeketoch & myself ) you cannot do what you describe in your OP: namely give someone a link and then they can contribute to the study.

If you make an unlisted study and share the link with someone, they can view the study but cannot change it.

If you make them 'a member' of the study they still cannot change it (so I don't know how being a member changes anything, does anyone know?)

Finally, if you make someone a member AND check the 'contributor' checkbox, THEN they can change the study.

you have to be a member to see a private study and contributor to change stuff on any study

so member status has no influence on non-private studies EXCEPT that you need to make someone a member in order to make them a contributor.

For private studies, only members can see them and only contributors can change them.

Make me a contributer @EmaciatedSpaniard
