Espesialy recently? I find it increasingly difficult to play. If compare to previous years for inwtance
maybe 22k avg is what i was use to seeing. it's been a while since i've payed attention to the number of online users here.
The highest number online that I've seen recently was 37,000+. A year ago there was a thread which tracked the growth to hit 30,000; two years ago the max was about 22,000 (I think.). So yes, Lichess is growing at a rate at which any business would be delighted at.
I thank Thibault every day that he's resisted the temptation to sell this brilliant site (which must be worth millions by now), which would deliver us to a cascade of ads and the introduction of chargeable premium memberships etc. which that would inevitably cause.
I can't say I experience any difficulty getting games in Rapid, Blitz and Standard; I've sometimes had to wait a few minutes for a game of 960.
