Can anyone recommend a good opening?

Go on YouTube, look-up some different openings, and when you find an opening you think looks nice, watch a couple YouTube videos on that opening - then try it out in some games.

Also, don't change openings; Just pick one for White - one for Black against e4 - and one for Black against d4, and stick to those three, as to gain experience with them.
1. c4, the english. Almost nobody plays it but it's generally considered to be on par with e4 and d4.
You're rated 1000 in rapid on lichess. Every minute you spend on opening preparation is wasted time. You're not losing games in the opening, you are losing games because you hang pieces all the time and miss when the opponent hangs pieces.
