Crazy engine-recommended queen sacrifice

Not a great game, but in this position Stockfish recommends . . . Re2. I had to play out the moves with the engine enabled to see what was going on; this is a very tough line to calculate.

Who needs a queen if you get 2 rooks on the 2nd row

If bishop takes queen then mate or queen has to be given back to stop mate. Some of our well known forum users would find Re2 in their games easily. At least they would say so.
