What about removing FIDE/national titles and Patreon wings from Lichess?

As per the forum subject/title. I think those who genuinly donate without ulterior motives don't have the need to be known as Patrons (Lichess can always thank them but in private). Also, why are national FIDE/federal titles here? Is Lichess somehow linked to FIDE/national federations? What do we users think about the possibility to step towards an even most extreme equality? Please, kindly give feedback if this idea is hugely stupid or somehow could make any sense. Cheers !!
[EDIT] That way we no longer will have the two "Warm-Up" and "Titled" arenas but just one, and "we are one" ...aren't we?

"patron" is the word lichess uses for people who donate. it means someone who generously gives money to people, often artists. i am sure your language has an equivalent word.
"patreon" is an american company. it has nothing to do with lichess whatsoever.
If you don't want the wings, you can always chose to gift them to someone else (maybe someone who already has them). Maybe even works to pick a name that doesn't exist at all.

As for the official titles... I think it is very nice to see them here. And it surely makes those accounts (who are now not any more anonymous to lichess) more legit. If you don't want yours to show up, simply don't register it.

Thank you glbert, sorry for the mistake, I'll correct it straight away...

I fear that wasn't my point (it's not what I want or don't want, it's about getting rid of "star system" and be more equal) but ok, thank you very much for the feedback...
Ah ok.

Well, the wings are basically the only "special" that a supporter gets. It doesn't get them any special treatment. So it might be seen as a way of advertising - getting people curious about this thing. And it reminds people they have done something good, and this might be needed in these times. And it might tell others that it is ok to give with getting "nothing" in return. :-)

I think if you get rid of the chess-related "stars" (FIDE titles), you could have the same point for hiding ratings. But for me, knowing someone is a titled player gives them much more credit and credibility than if it were just some random online guy. Just my (maybe stupid) view. And who doesn't like to squeeze half a point out of someone with a title...

(And full sympathy for patr*e*on... I get this wrong with the same dedication as the orientation of my USB plugs.)
I agree with you in theory Alessandro but a lot of our support comes from people who want to be recognized in some small way. They want wings and they want 'em NAO!

"[...] a way of advertising - getting people curious about this thing." Ok, it may be but... surely we can come up with something more than the wings to spread the aspect of Lichess as a donation-based charity. Of the people I know who regularly use Lichess (players, trainers, entire clubs) I'm amazed that very few know what Lichess is ("a free and open-source Internet chess server run by a non-profit organization of the same name - source: Wikipedia"). On the "you could have the same point for hiding ratings", no I don't want to hide Lichess rating. Lichess rating is good and as far as I know it's not linked to FIDE/national rating/titles.

Why do you want to remove fide titles??
Fide tiltles signify a players dedication and tgere rating. If suppose uh lets say alireza plays in lichess and he dosent have a titles and he beats everyone like 98% acuracy wont he be reported? Poor guy will be banned bescause everyone thaught he is using stockfish but HE IS A GM!!
People generously donate to lichess and lichess is a non profit organization and it dosent have any ads so the money we patrons donate helps in running lichess.
