I won more rating points than he lost, why?

Well, I had a draw in my last game, I had 2147 rating points and my opponent 2248.

I wonder why he lost 1 point and I got 4, shouldn't we lose and win the same amount? How does the formula work? I'm just curious, thank you.

So complex, I don't think I can get this lol but thank you for the source.
Basically, when you play games, your RD goes down. When you don't play it slowly goes up with time.

Your RD is around 70 and your opponent's around 45, so his rating is more established and changes more slowly. That is the basic idea of how the formula works.
