Rate my progress

Hi guys as you can see I started playing chess like a year ago. I started from the rock bottom (about 900 classical), now i`m slowly reaching 1700s. I want someone more expirienced to tell me if my progress is any good or maybe even promising. I` d appreciate your words of advice. Thanks!!!

aw btw i only care about classical dont even look at rapid or blitz

biggest thing here is probably your ambition to play so many classical games... props to you

Bad news: Only in comparison with me.

In roundabout 17 months I managed to increase from ~1200 to ~1500. And I' m not sure, how much of this is the result of the split between rapid and classical :(

Classical online isn't as accurate as blitz and bullet (basically because you'll be playing against someone blitzing but you having extra time, unless you get into the 45+45 league or something). If you really want to know what does that 1700 mean OTB you'll find out it's closer to 1400, best case scenario. Also I would break the gain into the 2018 JAN-FEB when you went from 9XX to 13XX. And then SEP-OCT 2018 when you went 14XX to 16XX. So apparently you did something differently in those two periods than what you did in the middle, I you know what it is then go for it. If you don't try to figure it out.

I'm kind of in awe at your dedication to having played almost 1800 classical games in a year. I'm not surprised at all that you've gone up so much in rating. Keep it up and you can probably go very far indeed!
