I'm currently working towards a goal of 1850 in rapid by the end of october. I want to know how to defend better (especially in opposite sides castle positions)!
As a general rule defending in a position with opposite-side castling is a good way to lose.
I meant like how to deal with them as in when to attack/defend and how to attack/defend @iBishop
Friend i can teach you all 10 defence positions if you want me to.
Tip; When castling castlng castle gueen side to check your king to perform gambits with check.
Tip best defence is the defensive pawn structure (Chain)

The key to good defence is the center. If you control the center, all attacks are bound to fail. When attacked on a wing, strike in the center.
If you are under attack, you must be careful and think your move through. If you make a mistake, then you get checkmated. Take your time.
