Noooooo

I could have gone into an equal endgame with a CM in correspondence but instead blundered it with the horrible 32.c4?? :((((((apart from that awful move how did I do?
I mean, you can see how u did in the analysis right? It was kinda equal till 32. like you said :D Nice game tho!
Thanks! I guess you’re right. I’m so frustrated at myself I should have played 32. Bxf8 instead 🤬
Haven't you made a mistake by the time we get to 7. Nxe4, though? You're down a pawn, after all.

I don't really play this opening, so I'm just a noob as regards theory here.
@bugcat2 No it is a playable line though a very risky one to use and it generally favours Black if Black just knows the opening. And @CalbernandHowbe is wrong in saying that it was a equal position. If you play this opening you should NEVER allow Black to play d5. Instead after Bc3 the best line to follow up with is d5 and if Ne5 bc3! Nc4 and Black is a piece up but White has the move Qd4! Ncd6 (Ned6 is a bad choice as it opens up the e-file) and after Ncd6 White has Qg7 and even though Black is a piece up, it is very dangerous position for the King and not preferable. But instead OP played bc3 which is a huge mistake and after d5 White has no compensation for the pawn and Black will have a good game.

And if you notice all the games played in this opening, Black has a much better score.

@DarkAntart1can thanks for that, this helps a lot!!

I played out the position after32. Bxf8 using Stockfish and after best play from both sides it results in a drawn endgame, this was what I meant when I said “I could have gone into an equal endgame”, sorry for confusing!

But I guess you’re right, d5 is frustrating for white. Thanks so much!
I’m sure I will use the line you gave me in many future games it looks very good :) thanks again!
