Against which opening by white, I should avoid playing French Defense?

I usually prefer FD as black. I was wondering are there some specific opening for white for which I should avoid playing FD.

Does this question make sense? I mean I am sure it matters what opening black plays against a given opening by white.

Thanks.
The French Defence as far as i'm aware is characterised by 1.e4 e6. That's it. Everything else after that becomes a variance of the French Defence, so you're pretty much stuck with it after the first move.

Do you mean you respond with 1..e6 as black against all openings by white, and wondering if there was a better response? Perhaps this is what you meant.
As you can only play the FD against e4, or transpose from d4, I don't really understand what you are saying, as until you play ...e6, there isn't a specific opening.
However, I'm going to interpret this as the most dangerous variation that white can play against the FD, which is:

1. d4 e6 is more likely to transition to a QGD/Nimzo Indian if white plays 2. c4. If you really want to avoid those lines for some reason, then perhaps you can try 1. d4 e6 2. c4 f4?! and go for a dutch defense?

But yeah #2 is correct. Only 1. e4 e6 is actually "the French."
French defense is strong in all lines. If you want to reduce the number of variants play a Variant of Rubinstein 1.e4 e6 2.d4 d5 3.Nd2 de or so 1.e4 e6 2.d4 d5 3.Nf3 de Computer evaluation of French protection 0.00
As white if you do not want to play against the french you must not play 1 e4

Perhaps d4, c4 or Nf3

As well take care of your evaluation there are some lines when I like being black and some line where I prefer white. So play your best line with black as black and vice versa.

I like the tarrash french as white. Have a look ^^
If the Opponent is (much) weaker than you or you are in a must win situation as black, you might consider not to play FD, because of the drawish nature of the exchange variation. In such a situation you should play the sicilian defense.
If the Opponent is (much) stronger than you, i would consider the Russian Defense Bd6 line, which Caruana plays.
The FD is really good in a low elo environment, since the advanced french is pretty decent for black and gets mainly played there.
@ujcn About the Sveshnikov remembered!?
The option of Nimzovich's most ambitious. But if black plays the main lines then everything is normal. Center locked white has no clear plan. And black has a breakthrough f6. If you want to play with me in French defence I am ready. I'm doing analytical work for the French defense, and if you join me, that would be great. PS: Botvinnik played the debut in the big games but his choice is a sign of quality of this debut.
