Lichess v2 is coming

Not all logins were ported over and passwords were cleared out. Try registering for a new account. Don't worry about email confirmation, you can put in any random email address, try just a random @mail.com email address.

Be sure to use it like you normally would, and if you notice anything broken, please let @thibault know. Include a screenshot, if possible and details about how you go there.

Bad: The tactics trainer is broken.

Good: Underpromotion on tactics trainer appears to not work and it only allows a queen. Here is the puzzle id 68392. I double-checked my settings and it is set to not auto-promote to a queen.

It is a ton of work and so many things are improved.

This new version is great. Wonderful to have the forum, studies, practice pages working.

It doesn't like my email address when I try and create a new account (says it's not valid but obviously it's fine - it's my own domain and the one I used to create my original Lichess account) but worked out for password reset eventually.

I'm not sure what the minimum supported screen width is supposed to be before you need to scroll left/right but my Honor Play phone requires it for the studies. The resolution is 1080x2340 (apparently this is a slightly unusual 19.5:9 ratio). A lot of the site is fine, though.

Maybe someone post the same message, but what about a function for the dgt board?

I already love new website. Fonts and even board/pieces seem more sharp and that what matters.

Although for my 27 inch monitor everything looks just too big (like 300% scaling) I guess it'll all be modified

Can't wait to play straight from my mobile browser! I'm playing mostly from the app but I often have to go from browser because the app is incomplete. Switching between the 2 will no longer be necessary. <3

My only concern is the piece art in the screenshots. Reminds me of those websites that haven't been upgraded since the 90s, or some of the free mobile chess games. I'm the only one for whom the piece art and the text font look like a downgrades? :O

@OzyWho It is odd how those naff looking pieces were chosen for the screenshots but I draw your attention to this line from the Lichess 2 announcement:

"All the existing board themes and pieces sets are still available."

About the pieces, with the new site would be good to have a better customization. Right now, if one wants to select a different piece set from the ones offered, have to use shady sites like stylish (who steal users informations). Wouldn't be better, and more secure, to let users create custom art and share with others directly from lichess? Maybe let users upload their custom css for the entire site and share those "skins" with others... just an idea.

Well, couldn't go through all the messages and it appears we don't have a "search the topic" box but I'd like to ask if the accessibility features (blind mode) will be improved with V2? if so, would you kindly tell us what are those improvements?
