Touch Move Feature

The touch move rule has always been enforced on rated OTB play. It is often employed, in "serious" non-rated games. My question...Is it technologically possible to implement touch move into computer games? Particularly for rated play, and as an option for casual games. I think it should be, just to put the games on par with the rules of chess. Comments? :]
It is definitely possible. But I don't think it would be suitable for online chess.
Well...if you click on a piece , you could not deny that you did, and you would have to move it. :]
What if the player is on a mobile device?
It's extremely easy to miss a piece or move another piece accidentally. Besides, what could have been an almost tragic mouseslip for someone, is guaranteed to be tragic with a touch move rule on lichess.
it's not like real life where them touching a pieces messes with your view of the board, or makes the pieces off center, there's absolutely no reason to have touch rules in online chess. It would also mess with bullet games, where you expect a move, so you move a piece to a square, but hold on, so if they play something unexpected you're not committed. the negatives of having touch chess rules on lichess outweigh the positives.
Well, if you click on a piece, you can see all of the squares it can go to.
probably the dumbest rule i ever heard of, there is literally no reason to have it online
#6 So what if it shows where you can move it ...clicking on a piece is equal to "touching it"... and it must be moved, if its legal to do so. It is actually good to play touch move , as it will train you to only reach for a piece, if your sure of your move. To think that a rule of chess should not be enforced just because it doesn't suit you is ridiculous. I do remember players jokingly touching a piece that had a absolute pin on it ...just for fun. :]
Don‘t agree. Using mouse, touchpad and a small artificial 2D view humans are not that skillful as using hands, a large board and real 3D view.

And you know that touch-move is only valid when touching pieces deliberatively? An unintended touching has no consequences, even using FIDE rules.
If you have ANY reason to have it, other than "it's in the 3d rules", then please explain it @Abyssinia. There's no psychological influence, messing up the pieces, etc. online
