If you are down in material, always play on and stay alert for possible stalemate traps.
You can play a game out or resign, its the choice of the player....
I sometimes play it out, but most of the time i resign as soon as i can see ive lost.....

My coach says that in a hopeless position, you should always play on and hope that they blunder in the endgame to draw or even win a position.

And of course you're only a pawn down so it's hardly hopeless (nice king lock-in btw!--like something from a puzzle).
