Nobody resigns, nobody rematches

At this moment I play mostly bullet. I almost never resign because everything can happen in bullet. Plus resing bring a feeling of humiliation. It is a part of a character - better to die fighting then to surrender.
I almost everytime accept rematch if I see the invitation while I'm still present on the game page.
One reason I like rematches is that if a particularly good / thrilling game is played between two people the odds are it may happen again. Moves tend to tell you the quality of an opponent and it is fun to find someone who may plays good moves.
Looks like you have a bad case of being 12 years old. Grow up, its just a game.
I don't see an issue with not rematching. And this comes from a guy who offers as many rematches as he doesn't.

The biggest rematches I dorematch are if I have a pleasant conversation in chat or if the game was really close, and I'd like to examine our playstyles a bit more to see why it was close.

The reasons I won't rematch are pretty boring. I got my butt handed to me? There's no sense in playing t hem again immediately. I could try to learn from my mistakes, but I don't really know how much better than I they are. I absolutely destroy someone? Well, this has yet to happen, so I don't know what I'd do in this situation.

Now, I WILL resign almost immediately if I think I can't beat someone.
But hey I like the idea of pre setting that we will play 3 or 5 games no matter what. That can be easily added to the settings at the same time I choose to play 5+0 or 2+1 there could also be a option for 1, 3 or 5 matches in a row
For myself I try to play games out completely to the end. I did resign once due to a massive game ending blunder. The only other time I can think of resigning is when I need to leave suddenly. Extremely rare in both cases.

As for rematches, I'm a pretty busy guy and sometimes I can't do a rematch. Some nights all I can play is one match.

The match game option would be great. It would eliminate "rematch" fever (and the feeling of being snubbed) and will also give people a chance to adapt to the playing style of their opponents in order to create what I believe will be an overall better gaming experience.
It is a game and games have rules. Players shouldn't be penalized for playing within the rules. End of story.
@ioxod

I assume you are talking about those who play on in lost positions. I agree. They should not be penalized. I was only asking about the psychology behind such a strategy.

Countless times I have encountered people that are dead lost shuffling their king back and forth between two squares. Seems silly.
