What do we do if our opponent plays a move we havent learned?Take the sicilian for example.There are so many lines.If white plays 1 thing else (that we havent learned)then,swwwwooooossshhhh ,the building keeps tumbling down.What do we do?We havent practiced much so we dont know how to get the advantage unlike players who have spent their lives traning.
This is my fear and this is why I dont play sicilian.Pls tell me.........
maybe its a question for analysis.I will post there too.If anyone sees this,feel free to write anywhere
lichess.org/forum/game-analysis/urgentopen-now-good-chess-playersreal-chess-questionnaturally-occuringIf your opponent just diverged from the line that you know well;
At first be sure there is no trick/trap,
Then play a reasonable development move.
Try to be solid, stay safe.
Developing does not upset you, unless you miss a clear tactic.
