Towards the end of the video, I give an example of how to "think by analogy" in the opening. This is rarely touched on, as I mostly see amateurs bemoan the fact that their preparation is "useless" after their opponent deviates from their memorized line.
Opening preparation doesn't have to work this way! Thinking by analogy is just want benefit to taking the time to thoroughly build, understand, analyze, and implement a Master-Level Opening Repertoire.
