My opponent could castle even when there was a check in the middle of the king and rook!

Please forward to the admins and developers of the site.

Castle is legal in this case ... you have to control c1 d1 or e1 to make this castle illegal ... In your case the king isn't check, and doesn't pass on a controled case.
