Tactics question

Why would you want to trade queens in this position? White is so much better but trade queens and it's equal all of a sudden. Your attack is gone and all you have done is equaled the material. In fact, you're still material down.
Black has two pawns and a rook for bishop and knight. You can't trade queens here.
After Nxe6 Black cannot defend g7 effectively, because it's a discovered check. After that it is difficult for Black to defend the other pawns on the kingside.

After Nxe6 you have to calculate g6. Of course Qxf6 is possible, but if it weren't you would lose the knight on e6.
@PranavRamesh8 , THE BISHOP IS GUARDED BY THE QUEEN. IF WE TAKE WITH THE QUEEN, THE QUEEN TAKES THE QUEEN. EVEN THOUGH THE KNIGHT GUARDS THE E6 SQUARE, BLACK IS MORE IN PIECE MATERIAL. AND THUS, THE MATCH WILL BE MORE ADVANTAGEOUS TO BLACK THAN WHITE.
