Wrong that was Obama. Obama just took over the 117 OLD wars started by the Republicans under Bush II:
Amaing US people don't even follow their own wars.
Anyway yes the threat is credible - and US is sticking with it. Nobody has come out and said we did not mean it even though we all think it is a threat- US is not doing that for a reason - because it's a real threat against an ally.

Americans didn't steal north america. Europeans did. When the Europeans arrived, there were no Americans. There wasnt even an "America" except on maps. There were indigenous people who it is 100% certain did NOT call themselves americans.
So there's that to think about.
Because I study prehistory a lot, I am painfully aware of the destruction of indigenous american cultures by invading europeans. It's appalling, the extent of the destruction. contextually, it's importnt to remmber that the science of archaeology did not even exist when the europeans were plundering the new world. No thought was given to preservation or recording because there was no precedent for doing so. The way of the world back then.
There were dozens of large, ancient mounds on the waterfront where St. Louis, MO is today. Dozens. not to mention the other structures and ruins. All leveled by hand in the name of progress. By Europeans. So sad, from today's perspective.

Well now you support USA invading Greenland and doing the same so you must have developed your points of you.
Your sadness here seems very hollow and superficiial since you support USA invading their close allies.,

ALL the choice river junctions in the east were locations of indigenous people's cities and trading centers. All obliterated by Europeans. From the archaeological perspective, a horrifying situation. From a human perspective, horrible as well, but not unexpected. Humans have this inate capacity for savagery that can't be denied.

I would NEVER support the USA invading Greenland, or taking it over by force. Full Stop.

here's the thing, it's OK to be complicated. It's OK to be multi-faceted. It's OK to be conflicted. It's OK to be a social progressive AND a constitutional conservative. Simultaneously. Yes it is. It's ok.
It's called occupying the center. It's warm and sunny here.

@ganjamojo it's not worth it to continue arguing with this guy.

It's incredible how clueless you truly are. Obama had 8 years to get us out of Iraq and Afghanistan BUT DID NOT. Trump DID get us out of there. Obama got us into military actions in Libya, Uganda, Yemen, Somalia and many others. There's too many to count. Why don't you go away...
As to the US being "Allies" with Denmark, you're joking right? Precisely what value is there for the US to be an Ally to Denmark? Is it so we can pay for your lack of a military like we've done for all of Europe for the past 100 years? (yes, since WW ONE we've been paying for Europe's wars and lack of military defense.) That's all you people do is start wars. Take note, the USA has conquered virtually all of Europe, North Africa and the far East, yet in spite of that, none of those are US Territories. Even the Philippines lobbied to become the 51st state but were refused. WW2 was going on for 2 years while the US tried mightily to stay out of it.
Here's a quote for ya:
> In 1939, estimates of the Army's strength ranged between 174,000 and 200,000 soldiers, smaller than that of Portugal's, which ranked it 17th or 19th in the world in size.
In other words, the USA had NO INTEREST in building a military. They only did it because they were forced to by you Europeans constantly going to war. Or too lazy to fight for themselves, sorta like this says. Capitulated to the Germans in SIX HOURS? Yea, you'd be a great ally...
