About how much years of real training will it take to become at least a candidate master

Somewhere between 5 and 100 depending on how you study
Suppose you have enough talent and time ...
then you have to complete a lot of ELO rated games to reach 2200.
I was calculated that I could do it in about 3 years
but due to the pandemic I haven't played any rated live chess game yet.
I'm hopefull for next year ...
Well, well, I have learnt chess for about 6 years, without much of a progress.
The coach is only interested in making money, and not training me.
I try to play in tournaments, and I regularly read books and solve problems but you need a lot of experience to participate in rated tournaments and win title of candidate master.
If you are facing the same situation as mine, becoming candidate master is unpredictable.

If I reveal his name, he would be angry towards me, and that will be disgusting.
Chess is a game of money, you know. Once I participated in a tournament, I heard the arbiters talking to themselves, that they have lost so much money in learning chess.
@Real_Madrid503 That depends on how hard you work, and how smart you work.
If you spend hours mindlessly drilling openings you will never make it.
If you spend time mindfully drilling tactics, you will.
I reached around 2000 FIDE from 800 FIDE in 2 years. I think another two could take me to 2200. I think you could do it in 3 years with diligent practice.
