Why is Wikipedia begging for Money so much..?

You guys don't have any idea, how much money is required to run that site and how much donation they are receiving.. Wikipedia is one of the highest visited site on the whole of internet. And read the misleading things written on the banner, they acting as if they'll collapse any second without donations.

Hell no. For every games even an anonymous user plays on lichess, money and resources are spent; yet they don't add massive banners. Don't compare them. Even if you read a thousand articles a day, Wikipedia has to spend nothing for that; they don't even pay their editors, and database cost is negligible compared to donations received.. Surely, Wikimedia Foundation is making money..

Like #11 said, there's no way adblockers will hide html-css content.

Wikipedia is INFORMATIVE and USEFUL because of the collective efforts and edits made by the hundred thousands of users for free. And some "dozen people" will display pop ups and banners ontop of the writer's/people's awesome articles; and innocent readers donation money goes to the "dozen people"...

That's it... Sorry for complaining...

Yes, exactly they receive way more donations. And the banner (now removed) clearly is misleading, it said "WIKIPEDIA WON'T BE SOLD YET" and "This September", and blah blah and lots of misleading stuffs...

Wikimedia Foundation is clearly misusing Wikipedia to make money... And the number of downvotes I received shows how naive the community is. I am not denying that Wikipedia is useful. But it has reached the stage due to the people not the people who are begging...
