If I play level 1 in a one-minute or 5-minute, I can occasionally beat it in under 45 seconds, but I haven't even come close in a 3/4-minute game. In 1-min, I can hang my queen on every move and it still lets me take all its pieces. In 3/4-min it seems to punish every mistake. Is it really much better in 3/4-min? If so, why?
I recommend you playing level 1 in 15+0
Don't underestimate lvl 1 stockfish
Apparently, Stockfish is automatically at least level 3 on very low time controls. No idea why though.
I think it prevents people from using it for piece shuffling training.

I managed to win in 3/4+0 but I agree it was much harder.
lvl 1 stockfish is 5000 elo in 15 sec games
Interesting, but strange since extremely low time controls is where a bot that makes random bad moves is most appropriate. But I suppose it's no big loss because it would build bad habits to train against a bot that lets you win quicker when you don't worry about hanging all your pieces. I wonder the average rating of people who can beat SF-3 in 3/4+0.
15+0 is a good suggestion. I finally beat Stockfish!!!!
