I analysed 68 million lichess games to PROVE that the low time alarm makes people play worse

It seem pretty normal for people to play bad at low time. you can't think as well
Well, probably the low time alarm does make people play worse. But like in #3 said. low time alarm doesn't necessarily cause the blunder. Correlation doesn't mean causation. Further research might be interesting
That bit of data ^^^ is because of berserkers.

I find this a very interesting analysis. I think that the whole time alarm must be wrong because the alarm doesn't sound in 3+0 until 22 secs, not 20. But still. Very interesting.

I agree that it would be nice to test this further by changing the alarm 'beeping time'.
The alarm is very annoying i get soo surprised when i am not looking at the clock.
me: (┬┬﹏┬┬)
Yes it is right because I also lost like that like it alaramed and I hurried gave a mistake move
The data is convincing.
The alarm presumably distracts the player, instills anxiety and breaks up concentration.
I recommend to switch off the sound and not to look at the clock, just play the position at the natural pace.
Well some people don't even notice their clock time if there was no beep. If you don't look at the clock and are playing really slow with something like 3 seconds left it is most likely you are down on time because you weren't aware of needing to play faster.
