I will reimburse you for sharing tactics from your games for my tactic books

5$ / 5 Tactics + $1.00 for each additional tactic

I am in the process of writing a book of themed tactics for beginners on Chessable, and I am looking for roughly 500 total tactics to be submitted by different contributors. (I have over 500 of my own tactics collected for the book already) I am happy to reimburse anyone who is willing to go through a few of their games and share their tactics with me. It could be tactics that you played, or that were played against you. I do ask that no tactics be more than four moves in depth (including the actual capture of a piece)

For each tactic you submit please comment or PM me the following
The tactic's fen:

The type of tactic:

Any context you would like to share (optional):

For example here is a tactic that I have in my book
The tactics fen: r1bq1rk1/pp1n1pbp/2pp1np1/4p3/P1BPP3/2PQ1N2/1P3PPP/RNB1R1K1 b - - 0 9

The type of tactic: fork

Any context you would like to share (optional): My opponent missed this tactic in the Illowa (Quad City Chess) Chess club October 2017 tournament.

Another example of context you might want to share is: This tactic was played against me in an online blitz game on Lichess (or chess.com) in 2021.

You can provide as much or as little context as you'd like.

Also, when submitting tactics please include the following information
Would you want your user name or real name included with the tactics you submit?

How would you like to be reimbursed? (if using Zelle or Venmo please send your information via PM I don't want that in public)

I am currently looking to reimburse people in one of the following ways:

Venmo (I will need a pm with your username)

Paypal (I will need a pm with either your preferred email or username )

)

A donation on your behalf to a non-profit. (I do request this not be a political or controversial non-profit)

Just a note I'd be happy to make donations to Lichess for tactics submitted!

A few additional notes:

Please submit at least five tactics (unless requesting a Lichess donation), I don't want to go through the process of setting up a payment for someone who submits less than five.

I reserve the right to reject a tactic if I don't feel it would be instructive for a beginner. For example a tactic might require a hard to understand, non-forcing move, and a beginner might struggle to understand it.

Also, if someone wants to go bananas with this and submit a hundred tactics, I'd still be thrilled to reimburse them for all those tactics, as long as I haven't used up my budget to pay for tactics.

If you have any questions please feel free to reach out. I plan to be checking my reddit messages pretty frequently for the next couple of days.

Potential tactics could be:
Mate in 1 (or 2 or 3)
fork
pin
skewer
mate threat
trapped piece
deflection
intermezzo
revealed attack
defense
zwischenzug
removing the defender
stalemate
promotion

Lastly I already have 380 tactics submitted by contributors so as of today I am looking for 180 more tactics.
All of the LiChess puzzles are free for use by anyone for any purpose.

There are chessable authors who use them. You can too if you wish.

It is not hard to find excellent puzzles.
@StingerPuzzles You're not the first person to suggest that to me. I figured it would be a good effect if the people who contributed tactics wanted their tactics contributed, and I've already got about 250 tactics contributed, so I'm far enough in that I'm a bit hesitant to change how I'm doing it. That being said Lichess making their database public like that is an awesome resource.

@BoldRandomRabbit I actually have gone through and searched through a bunch of my games, including older ones and especially my OTB tournament games. I thought it would be fun to give a shoutout to some of tournaments and clubs I've played in. I also go through a lot of my current games to find appropriate tactics to put in the book, its a good way for me to review my games and learn from them.
