Ctrl W monitored differently than disconnects?

I had to AFK for under 10 seconds and decided to close the tab for that period, thinking it'd give the standard 30 seconds for opponent to claim victory. Opponent claimed victory (in a clearly losing position at that).

What is the grace period for Ctrl W? Why isn't it same as a disconnect? Could've done it to refresh the page, or other reasons.
This game?

Move time shows more than 90 seconds since your opponent's last move, and then you close the tab? I'm not surprised the system considers this a rage quit.

there is no stranded 30seconds

you get x dc time for the whole game based on time control
every time you dissconect even for second it takes away from that time which can lead to you close the tab and them claiming quickly or as #2 said you took longer than 30

Why not leave the tab open? Did your boss just walk in?
