You say you should keep your sugar steady and then add you should eat bananas and, more interestingly, dates! LOL. Do you know how much sugar bananas and dates contain?
while we're on the subject: aspartame and fluoride make your brain stupid. less fizzy drinks = less blunders, more concentration, more able to spot tactics, more fulfilling life.

When you consume bananas or dates you also consume a lot of fiber which slow down your body ability to immediately absorb the sugar, so it's slower in action but keep you alert longer than coke for instance.

You're right, this advice is kinda off. Bananas and dates in any bigger amount will spike blood sugar quite significantly. The fiber in them is not sufficient to curb the spike. It's better to have them while you're physically active or have them with a meal.

But in case of date I think it`s not significant because of the quantity of sugar. After dates coke seems not sweet at all. Maybe it depends on the dates though.

my little brother eats a lot of bananas too many in fact and if your wondering how many then he eats about 5 bananas a meal (along with the meal!)

It's quite fine to eat more bananas if you're active and/or buffer it with additional fiber. Eating a lot of bananas and staying idle can be a problem, especially if someone is already diabetic.
