Why so many Frank Zappa threads?

Some stupid with a flare gun burned his place to the ground, so now he's gotta put them here.
Zappa. Are you old enough or inquisitive enough to understand?

That's the only question.

Imagine it's 1970. That's more than a half century ago.

The people you now view as old were rising and bold. They were brave and adventurous. Some of them were very clever.

Zappa. He was very clever. He quickly flew beyond "hippies." It would be like a young person today flying beyond the standard enlightened orthodoxy that many don't even perceive except as fish perceive the water.

He was one Bad Mutha. So-to-speak. Do you get the joke?

If you're struggling to get the joke, you can redeem yourself by researching: who is Varèse. Apparently, Zappa valued Varèse. That should make it clear that Zappa wasn't a mere "rock star."
For sure he was not your ordinary yesman. He wouldn't have been a fan of Trump either, to say the least.

In fact, I'd wish him to still be alive, if only just to hear his commenting of the current political circus.
Maybe you see something that I don't, but it seems to me the article you linked is only celebrating the role of Black people in country music. I can't see any attempt of "racist policing".
