Chess blog/books

Hello everyone,

I am a very new member of lichess and I love it!

I have been playing chess now and then for several years, but never "seriously". I would now like to better understand this lovely game. Therefore, I am looking for a good chess blog (if such a thing exists) and/or book (there are a lot of them, but I would like to find a "good" one).

Would you have any recommandation?

Thank you very much.

PS: any tips are welcome, of course !
I can recommend some general English-language books.

Michael Stean, Simple Chess
A general book on strategy

Andrew Soltis, The Inner Game of Chess
A general book on calculation and decision making

Irving Chernev & Fred Reinfeld, Winning Chess: How to perfect your attacking play
A book on tactics. It's kind of old, but quite good. Be sure to get the algebraic edition.

I got all of these from iTunes. They shouldn't be too hard to find.
Thank you very much! I'll get a look into these.
Here's a great book for you:

"Reaching the Top!?" by Peter Kurzdorfer!

A NM goes through a lot of his games when he was an up-and-coming player, and talks about what he learned and about master chess. He shows you that masters make a lot of the blunders that lower players do, too, but gives you a great understanding about how to improve and what to do in certain situations!

I highly recommend this book.
Capablanca, Chess Fundamentals. In particular, it will give you good end game skills.
