Is that even a bug? It allows you to play made-up variants, I'd think that could be called a feature.

@KarmaMaster It doesn't work. It just loads forever and if you reload the page, it does nothing.
@A_0123456 that's unfortunate, is this the case for all of them? Also is it possible to enable the engine for viewers of the study? because I have made a broken position before, as I said in a previous post on this thread, and it did give me a number.

The pawns aren't actually useless in chapter 3. You can try to capture the pawns in the corners, and it works
Some of this probably should be prevented (especially the stuff that breaks the page layout) but it's really not a major bug like some people seem to play it up to be. It's not like this happens in games or something. If you want to create broken studies, it's your problem. It's not harming anybody else so I don't see a big issue here.
Checking titles is definitely completely out of the question. Besides the fact that it would be very hard to check properly automatically, it also would prevent the use of any unofficial, less-known (e.g. regional), historic, or otherwise unverified titles.
Preventing illegal positions is probably sensible but even there, it's worth considering that such positions do occur in real games on rare occasions (e.g. remember the classic "king sacrifice" against Hikaru) and it's therefore not out of the question that people might want to import and view them.
It's certainly very low on the list of bugs or features to tackle.
The study is pretty funny though and props for finding all those weird cases.

This is my all-time favorite post on this entire forum. I love how stockfish just goes, "..." every time an illegal move is made. It literally does not know what to do😂😂😂
