Whats your opinion on bongcloud

@Menneske, When the bongcloud was made famous allegedly by Fischer in the early 2000's in an online match with Short, it wasn't about walking your king out into the middle of board to be checkmated, although it may be these days ...

Rather it was about immediately swapping the position of one's king and queen to absolutely guarantee your opponent has been thrown out of his prep ... a very simple idea ... and the most direct method of turning a standard game into a 960.

I've played it a few times and have seen success because one always returns the king to safety on the back row, usually on what normally is the queen's square ...

The Bong Cloud opening is the one opening at the bottom of the list for Whites top opening choices. It shows up nowhere on Stockfish's analysis suggestions. In fact, there is a youtube.com channel that lists the Bong Cloud opening as the one opening for the Dark Fish, a.k.a., Stockfish 15. It is a terribly illogical opening, but has been proven playable by Stockfish 15. Therefore, my opinions have elected that the Bong Cloud opening should not be played by humans, unless they are experts in the lines of theory provided by Stockfish 15.

In fact, there is no way to theoretically guess your opponent's response. That means there is simply no way for you to respond with a line that you can figure out without blundering, which suggests that the Bong Cloud opening is probably not a very good opening.

There you have it! Don't play it, or you will either lose or win depending on which of you playing the game is better.

Because you provided an interesting checkmate pattern that is not forced, I will ask you once to stop posting in this thread because that checkmate pattern is insulting to the color white and the game of chess in general because white has decided it would be cool to lose without trying to move anything other than a pawn aside from the king. I am not going to post in this thread again.

@Total_Carnage, In the match referred to above, I believe 'Fischer' won with his bongcloud at least 4 times ... against Nigel Short.

But since he was an expert player, he's allowed to play the Bong Cloud opening. A normal person like me or you could never do that. Think logically sir.
