Is it possible to play lichess without a web conection? Sometimes I'm with no conection and want to play chess960 against the computer, for example, because lichess is the best way for me.
well the chess engine lives on my server, so there is no way you can challenge it offline.
You have to download a chess engine to do so. The one I use is called crafty.
yes there are many free engines out there.
I know a lot of other engines, but the lichess 960 (crafty modified) is the one that I want.
Nice! I'd like to play in my netbook offline too. I can play against crafty 960 levels 1 and 2, but other 960 engines are too hard to win.
