International adult chess class this Sat. using lichess.org and zoom

Hey guys, Coach David here. I'm going to begin teaching classes on lichess beginning this Saturday the 20th - noon ET, hoping to accommodate players from various time zones all over the world!

The first class is, "Planning begins in the opening: Shape the game with your will power (and why everything revolves around pawn play)."

This is for any adult student with a grasp of the chess fundamentals. No rating restrictions. My teaching approach is to introduce advanced and challenging concepts, but the aim is that they are explained so that any player with basic chess knowledge should understand them - and it's all about student input. Student input helps shape the class's understanding so that we can all gain a clear understanding of the concepts. Looking forward to the dynamic.

The structure is designed to be affordable, so I suggest 15 USD if you are able - or you can leave a tip based on the value you place on the class at PayPal. The idea is that everyone pitches in a little and I can still make this work, but if you can't pay at the moment during these hard times, then don't worry at all, I completely understand.

After the interactive hour lecture, we will play some games in a closed tournament on lichess that can be analyzed the following week.

You can sign up below. This class is designed for adults (18+) from around the world. I look forward to seeing you there!

Background: I'm a US national master and FIDE candidate master (reaching 2200+ in both) and have been coaching full time since 2015. I have trained two DC champions, a World Open champion (U1400 section), and a US Junior Grand Prix winner. I've run multiple online group classes like this with scholastic chess. Now that the school year is over, I want to shift my attention a bit and make sure that players 18+ gain the same benefits at an affordable price. Hope to see you there! :)
I'm not involved in this but as someone who has known him for a while I can absolutely vouch for Eltenedor as a great guy and analyst/teacher of the game.

Sounds like a nice idea and hopefully it works out really well for you and everyone who participates man
