approaching to the various time controls

#8 "I think that my main issue is that I don't really know how to manage the time. In classical/rapid I feel that I have the time to think about kinda everything I need (tactics, position, strategy etc). In bullet I just play what I feel that the position needs, without spending too much time on calculations.
But in blitz? Do you guys focuse more on tacticts, strategy, positional understanding or what? Compared to bullet, for example"
You have to find the right time use. If tou want to get better at some time control, then you should play that time control exclusively so as to get used to it. Whenever you resign or time out in a lost position, you should slow down your play to play better. Whenever you time out in a won position, you should speed up your play to win before timing out. You should get a feel for time without looking at the clock. Once you look at your clock and take fright of losing on time, you lose concentration and you lose the game.
I agree that this site has very strong players in the blitz pool. I guess you have to find the right one that you like the most and stick with it. Personally I am garbage at anything under 2 minutes. I like the 5 min the most. It is frustrating to lose to under 1800 and then destroy a >2000 player , I believe it is due sporadic nature of our play. Some games i feel like I'm an expert or master then others I feel less than a class C.
