Puzzle Analysis

lichess.org/training/61268

In this puzzle, it says the best move is move my rook forward, and I end up winning a bishop, but if I move my bishop to the same square, won't I end up winning a rook, which is better?

This is my first time posting in the forum. I'm sorry if this is supposed to be posted somewhere else.

Even if you would win the rook on d8 (Black to move and can play Rd8-e8) you would only win the exchange which equals to 2 points.
Winning a piece (a light piece : knight or bishop) however wins 3 points.
Also good to realize is that when you lose a piece (knight or bishop) you are really a piece down in numbers.
If you lose the exchange however, the number of light and heavy pieces of both players is still the same.
That is an important difference.
