How To Mate Quickly? (Q/R v K)

I've noticed that I would pull in a lot more full points in blitz and bullet if I could mate in 2 seconds or so with a queen or rook. When I have that little time on my clock I tend to flounder and end up losing on time or stalemating.

What's the best way to improve speed here?

Maybe go to the board editor, create such an endgame position and play against the machine?

@EJAChess Ooops, this is the way I kill with K/Q vs K I think it's the easiest one.



When it comes to just rook and king vs king I believe there is no easy way, hurry up with the common way, practice a lot until it is automatic in your brain.

R v K v K is already automatic in my brain

@Gymhgy It's the second thing every chess player learns :) But it's surprisingly challenging to do in 2 seconds!
