@cashcow8 The whole point of the lichess tournaments is that you don't wait for all the games to finish before starting new ones.
I think longer time control tournaments might be played (I'd be interested in one) but the only way to find out would be to try.
Or indeed play lonewolf tournament or so.
Also cheating has nothing to do with time control. If someone wants they can also cheat in 10+0 or even blitz. And those few who do usually quickly get banned.
