The genius way to see strategy | Historic chess players would be losers today

> Let me give you a few hints. At first you claim that anyone who disagrees with you doesn't know anything about chess. Then you denigrate the memory of Mikhail Tal who was universally liked and respected in the chess community and name him as "cheater and fake". While at the same time you brag that you could reach a 20% win rate against him, a former World Champion.

> And when hinted that your opinion might not be as relevant as you think you start whining about "aggression towards you". Interesting attitude you have there.

All your problems come from self insecurance. Be braver and even grandmasters will down on their knee in front of you.

> @pls_dont_mate_me i dont know much about how the great chess players back then played, but Magnus Carlsen became a GM at 13 years old (2004, when you still had to travel to play chess tournaments and such) and is still a GM and a master of online chess today. i feel like, given a decent amount of time, GMs of the old days could easily adapt and destroy us today.

Magnus Carlsen is from Norway and they used internet from 1990's. Don't splurge me, brother. The reason he is a champion is that he has got internet earlier than the others today. Watch his bio god damn

Your losses come from too much respect. My advise to you as a teacher: once you start to disrespect your opponents, you will start to win. Capablanca said that he lost game after game until after he started to bully his classmates. True facts. Search for that in the internet if you don't believe me
Dont you dare talk about my losses.
I dont respect my opponents. Neither do i disrespect them. I lose because i play bad, and need to improve, not because i respect them.
Past chess players provided new generation more quckly undestand basement of chess, but kernel of chess is individual question. I take off one's hat.
Try to look at that: 79-year-old Viktor Korchnoi, of the generation which the original poster politely considers worthless, won a classical tournament game with Black against 18-year-old Fabiano Caruana.

I would call it a massive blow to the theory that "XX century players wouldn't stand a chance against modern ones".
Have a nice day!

Trust me. You are like everyone. Your mentality is 80% of your win. You have to start to believe in yourself bro. Take advise when people give it)

The fact that old chess players tended to make huge blunders is a true fact, you have to admit it
Go and try your hand in OTB tournament and you will see how 1600 fide will crush you... tal at his prime was better than the whole world...even a national master admits that he can't defeat Tal but here you are fantasicing of defeating the magician from Riga.... why don't you analyse his games, why don't you analyse the beauty of his play... centralising the pieces, and preparing fierce play was something Tal taught the world...tigran petrosian was known for solid play and tal destroyed him....
Ofcourse old players tended to blunder but far lesser than you...you can't even get 2000 fide with your current play...
